 One Link offers an opportunity to have a volunteer placement that will give you contact with local people who are eager to pass knowledge of their culture, language, sport and traditions and is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the community, assisting in areas of education, environment, fishing and farming.
Our volunteer offering is unique in that you can have first-hand experience of African life on the banks of Lake Victoria or a voluntarism option that takes in a blended mix of volunteering and touristic activities for those who are lovers to the environment we have very many site that are attractive to volunteers and travelers,e.g the foot print mark believed to be the foot mark of Jesus Christ,the proconsul,and beautiful flora and Fiona,the national park .
Typical Activities for volunteers included below 
organic  farm work get acquainted with farm skill and learn how African  get their food from soil.

support with computer skills,net working the project.
Fish drying you will be introduced on fish preservation.
Sports Development Training i.e working with local soccer team to help in coaching
English, Music, Drama training and teaching of kinds
organic/ agriculture research work help to develop  and write  write up about agriculture work . 
Weather Station Visit as per of weekend adventure
Dinosaur print visit
Farming help (Chickens/Goats/Cows)
Fishing
Hiking during weekends
Market Day

REQUIREMENT:

Age 18 and above 

long term between two months up to one year or more and short term one month and are all accepted./ communications with team leader is recommended to finalize terms of volunteer and insight orientations.

WHAT WE REQUEST YOU

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO VOLUNTEER IN KENYA?

Volunteers pay fees to help sustain and cater for local projects and communities that support. Your fees enable us to directly contribute to the goals and needs of your placement. The resources within which one link is working with are very limited and cannot support your costs for meals, accommodation, transportation .

VOLUNTEER FEES INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING

Airport Pick-up: On Arrival in Nairobi or KISUMU, Departure: Once you give us your flight details, our project manager will organize for your pick up .this can be optional for those who can not travel to Rusinga.

Orientation: Including important pre-departure information as well as on-site orientation on local culture, history and customs.. 

Administration-Placement arrangement: All your placement arrangement and well being while volunteering is our big concern and priority and we ensure your placement is secure and safe. Our project manager will provide 24 hrs Assistance and support that you may need at any step along with our com- munity team members who will always assist at the ground.

Accommodations/Meals: We carefully select host family connecting you to the culture and social, economic and political events in the community and country. You are provided with three meals a day and you will be flexible to intervene and assist in cooking/food preparation etc if you are willing to do so.
.

Certificate of Completion/Participation: You will be provided with a certificate showing your participation with one  link and recommendation letter as an appreciation for having chosen to volunteering with us.

Farewell: Is arranged on the last day either at the host family, or at the Community resource center as a way of appreciating your time and ability to give to the community in need. It is a day of exchanging gifts and celebrate  you for having successfully worked with people you didn't know before.
